I made the first 2 as suggested and quickly saw that you can change elements, add items and really make this set your own. I did use my own larger glue dots for some of the time as I just prefer the size and ease of use - there is nothing at all wrong with the glue dots in the kit; just my eyes are old and I like the larger dots lol!
