Flowing Flowers Thankyou card

 Hello everyone and welcome.

Todays card is made with the very pretty Flowing Flowers stamp set from the  brand new January - June mini catalogue. I like the shabby chic, old time look of the floral images and sentiments and know I will have fun with this one!

The stamps are red rubber cling with gorgeous flowers and is one of the Distinktive ink sets where you get lots of variation in the depth of colour which makes it look watercolored. Aren't the sample pictures in the catalogue pretty? I will be caseing some of these pretty images.

This set is my focus set for January and you will be seeing lots of cards and projects using it this month - it is also my featured Card class of the month so watch for those details coming too!

Todays card is a pretty layout inspired by Shauna Mikuliak from Saskatchewan. I use this layout when I want to show case Designer series paper and for the card I used another new paper from the catalogue called Heart and Home.

To make the card you need:

  1. 4 x 12" piece of Heart and Home DSP (#157928) - check the orientation before cutting! Score at 5 1/2" and at 11".
  2. Fold the 1" scored piece back over the front of the card. Tuck a 1 x 4" piece of co ordinating card stock inside and adhere down.
  3. Die cut Basic White cardstock using the 2nd and 3rd largest dies in the Scalloped Contours set (or cut rectangles using a trimmer).
  4. Using a 3" piece of White Frayed ribbon (#158138) pull the edge strand and fray about 2", trim the long end off and attach the ribbon to the front left side of the card using Tear and Tape.
  5. Using the Flowing Flowers stamps (#157880) stamp the floral image and sentiment for the front using the smaller of the rectangles and attach to the front over the ribbon using dimensionals.
  6. Stamp just one floral image to the large piece and adhere this one inside.
  7. Adhere Polished dots (#158134) to the centres of the flowers on the front - I used 3 for the large flower and 1 each on the smaller ones.
