Casually Crafting Sketch challenge Blog hop

Hello and welcome to the January casually Crafting challenge; this month we have a sketch to copy and I really enjoyed planning this card with new product from the January to June mini catalogue.

If you click on the links at the bottom you will see projects from demonstrators around the world who also belong to the Blog hop - there are always lots of different  cards which are great to either CASE (Copy and share everything) or to use as inspiration.

This is the sketch with my card next to it - it was a fun one!

Measurements and supplies

  1. Cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" and score at 4 1/4, fold and burnish.
  2. Attach a 1 1/2 x 4" piece of co ordinating piece of DSP  to a 4 x 51/4" piece of Heart & Home DSP and adhere to the card base.
  3. Adhere a Cinnamon Cider Heart & Home doily to the left hand side of the DSP -slightly overlap the left had side of the doily and trim off the overlap.
  4. Attach a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White card stock to the inside.
  5. On a scrap of Basic White stamp the large flower image from Flowing Flowers Stamp set - ink the image in Pale Papaya and, using a sponge dauber, add extra ink to the middle of the flower to give a slightly darker look.
  6. Cut out the image and extend the cut to make a more pronounced petal. Using the sponge dauber ink the very edge of the flower.
  7. Slightly curl the petals with a bone folder or pencil to give a 3D effect and attach on top of the coloured doily.
  8. Stamp your sentiment for the front - I used Cinnamon Cider ink and the sentiment from Flowing Flowers to a 1/4 strip of Basic White DSP and attached this with a dimensional.
  9. Embellish your flower with Polished dots.

To see how I made the card please watch the YOUTUBE video link below.
