Hello everyone and welcome to my bog if this is your visit ... welcome and thankyou for popping by!
On my Facebook live tonight I was challenged to make a card that was new to me. I found this lovely self closing card on Youtube made by Birgit Seidler (Stempelbunt) in Germany. I changed the measurements to imperial to fit into our North American envelopes and to use our 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock.
Below I have added all of the measurements and photos .
Main card base 8 1/2 x 11"
On the short side score the left hand side at 2", and the right hand side at 2 1/4"
On the long side score the left hand side at 3 1/2" and the right hand side at 2"
Cut out each corner piece and you will end up with a t shape piece of card. Fold and burnish all edges. Corner round each corner.
DSP Pattern #1 cut pieces for flaps 1, 2, 3 and 4 and attach inside. Cut a piece of Basic White 4 x 5 1/4" for center of card. I also added a small strip of left over DSP onto the white card.
DSP Pattern #2 cut piece for flap 2 and 4 on the front of the card.
Hope that you have a try at the card and have fun with it.
Happy crafting
Diane
