Casually Crafting colour challenge August 2021

Today is the new August Blog Hop Day for the Casually Crafting Design Team. We  are a fun group of independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world and we get together to create projects all based on the same theme. The hop goes live on the 3rd Saturday of each month and I am always excited to see what everyone makes.

Our projects are aimed at beginner stampers and those who craft occasionally, but are also great as a spring board for intermediate and more avid crafters too!  Our projects tend to not tools or dies but there is no reason why you cannot use them if you have them, lots of the projects can be adapted or stepped up.

This month we had a colour challenge to use Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink - any card or project, any design, just have to use these 3 colours.

For my card  you need:

8 1/2 x 5 1/2" Pear Pizzaz card base, scored at 4 1/4"

2 pieces of Basic White 3 1/4 x 4 1/2", and one piece 3 1/2 x 4 3/4", scraps for stamping.

1 1/2 x 4 1/2" piece of Expressions in Ink DSP

-Daffodil Delight, Pear pizzaz and Memento Black inks
-In Bloom stamps
-Label Me lovely punch - or a piece of Basic White stamped and cut into a rectangle/square etc.
-2021-2023 In color jewels

The flowers and leaves were stamped using the inks and then cut out with paper snips and attached with Dimensionals and liquid glue. If you find you have a 'white edge' where you cut you can use a marker pen, blends pens or the ink pad to just colour the edge.

If you have more tools and supplies you could also make the stepped up version shown here - I added in the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and the matching Pierced blooms dies.

Don't forget to check out the links below showing more Stampin' Up! demonstrators who joined in with this months challenge.

Have a great crafting month and thankyou again for joining me.

  1. Beautiful cards Diane! I love how the solid coloured flowers and leaves contrast so well with the Expressions In Ink DSP!
