Casually crafting Design team July 2021

Hello everyone and thankyou for visiting my blog!

Today is new Blog Hop Day for the Casually Crafting Design Team. I belong to a fun group of independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. The hop goes live on the 3rd Saturday of each month and I am always excited to see what everyone makes.

Our projects are aimed at beginner stampers and those who craft occasionally, but are also great as a spring board for intermediate and more avid crafters too!  Our projects tend to not tools or dies but there is no reason why you cannot use them if you have them, lots of the projects can be adapted or stepped up.

This month we had a sketch challenge, everyone was given the same sketch and we create our projects using this as our base. Sketch challenges are a great way to try new fold, different layouts or simply to use as inspiration.

This sketch challenge was a fun one to work with and I hope that you enjoy what I made.

For my card  I used an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" Just Jade card base, scored at 4 1/4".

Using versa mark (or Just Jade ink) I stamped one of the leaf images from the Plentiful Plants set to create an easy background.

The Bloom where you're planted DSP is my favourite one this month! I cut a piece 2 1/2 x 5 1/2" , matted it on a 2 5/8 x 5 1/2" piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock and adhered it to the front leaving a slight margin on the left-hand side.

I stamped the Thankyou sentiment from Pansy Patch 3 times onto 1/2" wide Basic White cardstock - I stamped on longer strips of the Basic White cardstock than I needed  and layered it with Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at  2 1/2 x 5/8". When layering I offset it to give me a staggered effect.  I attached them using dimensionals and added a small bow using twine.

For the inside I fussy cut one of the pots and plants from the DSP, attached it to a piece of 4 x 5 1/4" Basic White and stamped the sentiment from the Plentiful Plants stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the links below showing more Stampin' Up! demonstrators who joined in with this months challenge.

Have a great crafting month and thankyou again for joining me.
