Happy, Happy, New Blog Hop Day!! Recently I was invited to join the Casually Crafting Design Team and their monthly blog hop!
The Design Team is a group of independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. The hop goes live on the 3rd Saturday of each month and I am excited to be a part of it. Our projects are aimed at beginner stampers and those who craft occasionally, but are also great as a spring board for intermediate and more avid crafters too!
This months theme is Anything goes!
I came up with a very simple but versatile layout on my card which can be used for many occasions. I chose the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set which is currently available and will carry over onto the new annual catalogue as well!
I started with a basic Mango Melody card base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored and folded in half at at 4 1/4")
I stamped the large Butterfly Brilliance stamp onto Basic White card 5 1/4 x 4" with memento Tuxedo black ink. This was then adhered to the front of the card. I do love the large red rubber stamp with all of the butterflies on but must admit I may buy a second stamp and cut between the butterfly images so that I can use some of them individually too!
I adhered another piece of Basic White 5 1/4 x 4" to the inside (stamp or add a sentiment to this also if you choose).
I trimmed the large yellow butterfly using paper snips forms the sheet of 6 x 6" Butterfly Bijou Designer series paper , added liquid glue to the back of the body only and attached it over the matching stamped image.
My sentiment was stamped with a sentiment from the Posted for you stamp set on a scrap of basic White card. I pennanted one end using paper snips and attached with dimensionals.
If you don't have the Designer series Paper you can also stamp the large image and colour with Mango Melody for my first card, and my second card would be great for you! I used different supplies including Pool Party, Highland Heather, and Basic Grey blends to colour the Whisper White seam binding and the butterfly, 3 Basic Rhinestones and a sentiment again from the Posted for you stamp set.
Thankyou so much for joining me - hope you have a try at my card layout and even take it a step further by using dies to cut out the butterflies, perhaps adding an embossed card layer, heat embossing for the sentiment or even some of the gilded leafing to accent the gorgeous butterflies.
