20 minute cards!

Last week I was part of a Stampin' Up! demonstrator zoom meeting and everyone was challenged to use a sketch to create a card during the session. The sketch was a super easy one and the results were just superb! I love to use sketches when my creative thinking is low or I need inspiration - it makes card making so easy as the hard work of designing is already done for you. All you need to think about is card & ink colour, DSP and the stamps you want to use. It took me about 20 minutes to create a card and that is a bonus any day of the week!!

As many of you know I make a card every week to send back to my Dad in the UK; this weeks card uses the Love of Leaves stamps and dies with Gilded Autumn Speciality Designer series paper and it came together so easily. I love how all of the colours in the paper match so well and give you an easy way to choose ink, matching card stock and any embellishments such as ribbon or gems.

The card on the left was todays card and the one on the right was the one I made at my meeting. I like the addition of the extra layer of Early Espresso card behind the DSP, but really I love both cards equally!
