It is so nice to be back after a week away in our trailer - I really missed crafting at my desk but took a paper pumpkin kit with me and really enjoyed making it; such a nice easy way to make cards without having to take too many supplies!
Todays project is a really easy fold on 6 x 6" DSP which produces an envelope or pocket. I add sweets, tea and coffee bags, mini chocolate bars, 3 x 3" cards and more in mine and use them as favours at card class, at the Holiday dinner table , as thankyou gifts and at craft fairs. Once you know how to make them you will find so many more uses though!!
Our theme this month was Flag colours and so I chose the red white and blue for the Union Flag! Check the links at the bottom to see what everyone else in the hop made too.
The sizings for these can be change according to where you decide to fold the edges - the 2 easy ones that I used can be seen here:
1. Use 6 x 6" piece of Designer series paper and fold on the diagonal
- mark edges at 2 1/2" and fold the corners inwards
- Attach a glue dot if needed to keep sides in place
- Fold 1 layer of the paper at top of triangle down to create the pocket
- Create embellishment for front by stamping image in real red and sentiment in Misty moonlight inks
- Use dies to cut out sentiments and fussy cut image with scissors
- Adhere the embellishment to front and cover the folded edges
