World of Good - cross over card

Hello and welcome to my blog.
My parcel arrived!!! I was so happy to see the box at my door yesterday and now I have time to create with the things I ordered. I am going to show one set of items at a time and make a couple of cards before I move on to the next one.

I have started to add the measurements and steps on how to make my projects - let me know if this is more helpful for you please.

Todays set is the World of good suite - it is one of the suites I talked about in the catalogue walkthrough a couple of weeks back. I love that you can order the whole suite using just one number; normally I end up with duplicates as I forget what I have already bought lol!
The suite has Speciality Designer series paper, faux suede ribbon, stamps, dies, foil sheets, an embossing folder, a pack of memories and more cards, and antiqued corners and slider pieces - this part was on backorder so I awaiting for them but have everything else.

I wanted to make a cross over card and this is a versatile template - if you use tear tape on one edge your card forms a pocket and you can use it as a gift card holder too. I have made lots of these but rewatched Jo Anne Rogers, a Canadian demonstrator, to check the cutting method; I changed her paper sizes slightly though. The diagonal cut can be a little tricky as it only just fits on our trimmer; but it can be done! I used the memories and more cards as my top layer and the new cinnamon cider card stock too.  In the Video I forgot to add the gilded gems from the ornate garden suite but they are shown on the finished card.

Measurements

Cinnamon Cider card base
11 x 8 1/2 ” scored at 5 ½ & 4 1/4" , cut diagonally

     1. Attach Whisper white card layer to Early Espresso (5 ¼ x 4”) and adhere to inside of card
  1. Make sentiment
    1. Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink and cut out with layering circle
    2. Cut slightly larger circle in Early Espresso
    3.  Cut 1 scalloped circle from brass foil sheet and 1 same size in early espresso for back of circle
    4. Cut and attach small piece of Faux suede trim
    5. Add gilded gems to stamped sentiment
  2. Adhere the memories and more card triangles to early espresso  triangles,  and then add to front of card
  3. Adhere the sentiment circle to top crossover flap using dimensionals at top back of the circle only
