Forever Fern card - new catalogue item!!

For my card today card I used the brand new 'Forever Fern' stamps and dies from the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue 2020 - 2021. As a demonstrator I was lucky enough to be able to place a pre order for this set and I am loving it already. When I saw the pre order items I must admit the fern one wasn't on my 'get it now' list! BUT...... I loved the paper and the more I looked the more I fell in love with having leaves for layering in other projects. Once the set came I didn't want it as an add on for any other stamps set; I wanted it to be a stand alone set lol! 

I used a really easy template which can be either portrait or landscape orientation, and then the Designer series paper from the matching Fern suite. I really like the watercolour brush stroke effect and will be making that for myself using my ink pads - watch out for my experiments!

You will notice that I changed the white seam binding on the 2nd card to old olive ribbon after I finished the video :) The Whisper white seam binding just didn't stand out enough and the green looked so much better. 

Card measurements

Thick whisper White card stock - either use a normal card base of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and score at 4 1/4", then trim off a 1 1/2" strip at the bottom
OR
use a piece 7 x 5 1/2" and score at 4 1/4 on the 7' side

DSP - top or LHS flap 5 1/4 x 2 1/2"
      - bottom or RHS flap 5 1/4 x 2"
I also used scraps of whisper white for the sentiment, pretty peacock, old olive, soft seafoam and gold foil card stock.
