Sunday - snow and poppies!!

Morning everyone and welcome to a snowy, minus 19 degree day in Cochrane! The sky is blue, sun is shining and it looks so pretty .... from inside the house anyway lol!
I cant believe Winter is still here though. I looked at pictures from my home Town in East Yorkshire in the UK; the daffodils are out, the grass is green, sun is shining and Spring has been there for a while. I miss that green grass and the spring flowers arriving before May! To cheer me up, and remember that Spring will be here one day, I decided to use the poppy stamps that I have from the mini catalogue. I really like this set but haven't given it the attention it deserves. I ordered so much from the mini catalogue that some stamps have only seen ink once or twice and some not even once (cough, mountain air bundle, cough, cough).

On a Sunday I like to make a more simple project and this card is one of those; I chatted for a long while which is why the video is 17 minutes, but the actual card is simple to make and quick to produce.

Card measurements

Base card grey granite 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
petal pink 4 x 5 1/4" - cut 2
whisper white 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" - cut 2
scraps of whisper white and petal pink for stamping and die cuts

For the Night of navy card there is no extra layer of card, the 2 whisper white pieces were cut at 4 x 5 1/4"

I used painted poppies bundle of stamps and dies, peaceful moments stamps,  1/4" crinkle seam binding, dimensionals and liquid glue.

Remember there are only a couple more weeks to order from the mini catalogue and to receive the free Sale-a-bration items for each $60 you spend. If you need a demonstrator I would love to help in Canada! Send me a message or go to my store to order or my website at
craftsbythebow.stampinup.net (no www needed)
