I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy at this crazy time. Many of you know I own and run a Preschool and we are closed until further notice. I have taken the time to start to tidy my craft room and I have forgotten what I actually have!
I wont be running in person classes but am looking at how we can get together to craft using other mediums such as fb lives or videos. If you would like to join me on a fb live I will find a time and start to do these when we can. I think crafting is good for our mental health and certainly helps me to relax! I will also be putting together some crafting packs that you can pick up from my doorstep or I can mail within Canada. I do have some paper pumpkin spare kits that I will offer for sale as well justo incase you need stamps and ink etc. I will still be placing orders and if anyone would like to place their order with mine each week I will refund shipping costs! Watch and follow me for further details.
I actually filmed this card a couple of weeks ago and totally forgot to post it! It is a shutter card which displays a message when you open it and is one of the first fun fold cards I ever attempted when I joined SU about 3 years ago.
I had watched Dawn Griffiths video as my starting block and used the items I had on hand from my first purchases.
For todays card I used the Bonanza buddies suite and loved the results; the little secret message inside adds an element of fun for the recipient!
Card measurements and things I used
Base - mango melody card 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8 at each side.
Wings - 2 pieces cut at 4 x 3 1/2", score on the 4" side at 1/2"
Front Panels - 2 pieces whisper white cut 2 x 5 3/8"
2 pieces DSP cut 1 7/8 x 5 1/4"
Inside - whisper white 3 x 5 1/2"
DSP 2 7/8 x 5 3/8"
To make wings find centre on 4" side draw line at 2"
on 3 1/2" side draw line at 1 3/4"
Cut corner to centre on both sides to get the pennant shape
I used mango melody, whisper white and basic black card stock, Bonanza buddies DSP and dies, nesting large scallop and circle dies,
