I hope you are all keeping warm wherever you may be. It is cold and snowy here for Remembrance Sunday and reminds me of when I was a Girl Guide back in the UK when we would parade on this special Sunday, whatever the weather, and honour the soldiers who fought to keep us free. I do not ever remember a warm Remembrance day or service but there we were, with other youth groups, armed forces, veterans, bands, local council members, and member of the public, paying our respects and giving thanks. The world has changed so much since then but today I saw pictures from my home Town of children and the older generations doing exactly the same thing in the cold weather. It made me stop to think how much we still take for granted and how we need to remember the past every day and not on one special weekend each year. For those who may read this and are part of the armed forces - THANKYOU FOR YOUR SERVICE .
Enough reminiscing! Todays video is my Simple Sunday video with a simple and fun card and tag - this is a matching pair for the gift bag I made on Wednesday and it would make a great set for a gift or for gift giving!
I love how the card and tag has just enough Designer series paper to become the focal point and yet not overwhelm the project. Using such a small amount of paper on the 3 projects combined makes it a really economical way to make sets of matching items; I was even able to punch one more tree to decorate my envelope.
